France Masters 2025

Last year it was Portugal (Mira OLR) that hosted the World Championship in OLR.
But now France will be hosting the 2025 World Pigeon Fanciers’ Championships. A Grand Prix with €40,000 in prize money.

Since 2023, the French Pigeon Racing Federation has been based in Festubert, in northern France, thirty minutes from Lille and two hours from Paris and Brussels. At this really nice place in the countryside, the French Pigeon Fanciers’ Federation has designed a loft for pigeons and an office.
Here they do the administrative services for the national and regional federations, but also a specialist pigeon shop, a museum dedicated to the history of the carrier pigeon, a specialist veterinary practice and a loft with a capacity of 1,500 birds to host a OLR, the France Masters, a pigeon race for fanciers from several countries.

The first France Masters was held in 2024. The competition is held in three rounds: a first contest starting in Orléans (300 km), a second from Bourges (386 km) before a final released in Argenton (450 km). A thousand spectators attended the final on 15 August 2024, won by Vincent Thiriau (France) ahead of Belgium’s Brent Lambrechts.

After the final the pigeons were sold on the website of M&C Auctions.

After the success in 2024, the France Masters will join the prestigious FCI Grand Prix circuit in 2025 and will be entrusted with organising the world championships: a huge recognition for the team at the French pigeon racing federation!

Once again, the France Masters will be supported by Versele Laga, Benzing, Geraldy and Original Process. The colony will be monitored by vet Nicolas Schoonheere.

We wish the French Pigeon Racing Federation good luck with this beautiful race!
