Jos Maes – the Quievrain-Artist!
Jos Maes is living in the city of Geel in Belgium.
He is 71 years old – and lives a happy marriage with his beautiful wife Marleen.
Jos has been a passionated fancier since he was 9 years old – so more than 59 years in the pigeon sport.
He has never kept a lot of pigeons – a super-small team with hard selection all the time! He only kept the SUPER-racers and the SUPER-breeders!
Jos is a typical sprinter! He has lived for the races from Quievrain, that has been the foundation of Belgian Pigeonsport in many, many years.
Quievrain is ART for Jos! He has been a great champion from Quievrain – and won The Pigeon Euromillions after he bought some pigeons from Dr. Henk De Weerd.

Jos Maes is forced to sell all his pigeons:
Unfortunately Jos couldn’t race his youngsters in 2023 due to intensive allergy problems – and therefore he has taken the sad decision to finish his pigeon-career.
The pigeon-dust-allergy makes it impossible to keep pigeons anymore!
With tears in his eyes Jos Maes has delivered the pigeons to M&C Hansen – and asked them to sell them for him.
It is a great honour for us – and we are very proud to present this auction where you can bid on fantastic pigeons – hardly selected – from one of the best small “unknown” Queivrain champions in Belgium.
